Written quotes, every time
You get the price in writing, with the addresses, date, services and terms set out. If something is not included, the quote says so.

We move homes, flats and offices around Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear, Northumberland and County Durham. This page explains how we work, what you can expect from us and where we draw the line.
Tyne Bridge, Newcastle upon Tyne
Moving house involves enough uncertainty without the removal firm adding to it. Our approach is simple: find out properly what you are moving, give you a written price for it, turn up when we said we would and look after your things on the way.
We won't fill this page with claims you have no way of checking. What we can do is tell you how we run a move, what we ask of you and what we will and won't do, so you can judge for yourself whether we are the right fit.
Most of our work is local, around Newcastle and the surrounding towns, but we also take on longer moves elsewhere in the UK. The same rules apply whether the van is going two miles or two hundred.

Six principles that shape every job, from a single wardrobe to a full family house.
You get the price in writing, with the addresses, date, services and terms set out. If something is not included, the quote says so.
A quote is a quote, not the start of a sales campaign. Take your time, compare it with others and come back to us if it suits.
We would rather spend half an hour on a video call or home visit than guess. An accurate picture of the job is what keeps the price steady.
Moving days often run to a tight timetable around keys and completion. We agree arrival times in advance and keep you updated if anything changes.
Furniture is wrapped, floors and doorframes are kept in mind and fragile items are handled slowly. Rushing a load is how things get damaged.
If a smaller service would do the job, we will say so. If something can't be done safely, we will tell you before the day, not on it.
Every job follows the same basic pattern, though the detail changes with the size of the move and the access at each end.
It starts with a survey or inventory, so we know what is going and how hard it will be to get out of one property and into the next. From that, we decide the crew size, the vehicle and whether any furniture needs to come apart. You then get a written quote. Once you book, we confirm the date and arrival time in writing.
On the day, the crew walks through the house with you first, so everyone knows what is going, what is staying and which rooms things belong in at the new place. Furniture is wrapped and loaded in a sensible order, and the heaviest items are carried with the right number of people rather than one person struggling on the stairs.
At the other end, we place furniture in the rooms you choose and, if it was part of the quote, put beds and wardrobes back together. Our furniture assembly and disassembly service covers this in more detail, and if you would like help with boxing up beforehand, see our packing services.
Our base is Newcastle upon Tyne, and most of our moves are within Tyne and Wear, Northumberland and County Durham. Each part of the area brings its own practical challenges, and knowing them in advance is what stops a move running late.
In places like Jesmond and parts of Gosforth, Victorian terraces and Tyneside flats mean narrow staircases, tight hallways and parking that needs thinking about early. Across the river in Gateshead and further south in Durham, steep streets and older city centres can make loading slower. On the coast, Whitley Bay and North Shields have a mix of older terraces and newer estates, while towns such as Cramlington and Sunderland are mostly more straightforward for a large van.
Parking rules and permit schemes differ from council to council, so we will always suggest you check what is needed with the relevant council before moving day. For moves beyond the North East, our long distance removals service handles the planning for a longer run.
Being clear about our limits is part of being honest about the service. Some jobs need a qualified tradesperson, and some items can't legally or safely go in a removal van.
We will move your furniture, boxes and household goods, dismantle and reassemble standard furniture, pack if you ask us to, and give you straight advice about the best way to do the move. We won't do the following:
Newcastle upon Tyne and the towns around it, plus long distance moves across the UK.
No. Newcastle is our base, but we cover Tyne and Wear, Northumberland and County Durham, including Gateshead, Sunderland, Durham, North Shields, Whitley Bay and Cramlington. We also take on moves from the North East to other parts of the UK. Tell us both addresses when you ask for a quote and we will confirm we can do it.
Yes, always. The quote sets out the addresses, the date, what is included, anything that is left out and the terms. We don't ask you to commit to anything on a phone call. If the details of the move change later, we will update the quote in writing so there are no surprises on the day.
We can usually unhook a washing machine that is plumbed in with standard fittings, but we don't disconnect gas appliances or anything hard-wired. Those jobs need a Gas Safe registered engineer or a qualified electrician, and it is best to book them a few days before the move so the appliance is ready to go when the crew arrives.
An accurate idea of what is moving, including the loft, garage and shed, and any access issues at either end. Closer to the day, have boxes packed and sealed if you are packing yourself, keep parking clear for the van and set aside valuables, documents and medication to travel with you rather than in the van.
Tell us what you are moving and where to, and we will give you an honest written quote with no pressure to book.
